I had the pleasure and privilege to know Teresa since our sons were at Nursery together and she was, quite simply, the best friend anyone could wish for. We laughed our way through so many happy times...days out to London and locally, mini-breaks to York, Norwich and Bath, where we were woken up at 4.00am by a flock of screeching seagulls! Cheering England on with Teresa's home-made flag, crafting sessions at which she was so much better than me but when she was always ready to help her much less creatively-gifted friend! We also shared tears and supported each other through sad times. In order to make the ordeal of attending her many hospital appointments slightly better, visits to Guys would be preceded by lunch in the refectory at Southwark Cathedral and visits to Hammersmith would be followed by lunch at the riverside pub at Chiswick. Even over the past year, I was grateful to be able to share garden visits with her in all weathers. She was a brave and lovely lady, who will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Her passing has left a huge gap in my life but her legacy is her two wonderful children, of whom she was so proud. Thank you for the great memories and rest in peace, dear lovely Teresa xx
